Wemyss Bay: Wemyss Bay station and pier, seen from above on 22 November 2021.
Newcraighall North Junction: A train conveying spoil and spent ballast passing Newcraighall North Junction on a bright and sunny Sunday morning in November 2002. The train is on its way back to Millerhill South Sidings following weekend PW activity in the Perth area.
North Queensferry: Sign by North Queensferry station footbridge in 1961. 'Cross the line by the bridge only'.
Thornton Junction: This is a view under the railway, the access road under the ECML to the golf club. Thornton Junction station was just to the south (access to it was via a footbridge). Yes, those wall supports are bulging inwards.
Inchgreen Graving Dock: Inchgreen Dry Dock, fairly recently in the news for reinstatement after a number of years out of use, is seen in the heyday of 1965, about to receive what was probably its most distinguished visitor, the Cunard liner 'Queen Elizabeth'. Another Cunarder, the 'QEII', was there a few years afterwards. Superb ship that the 'QEII' was, one would have to say that she did not quite surpass the earlier Queen in magnificence.
Clapham Common: From the lower concourse at the foot of the escalators at Clapham Common, Northern Line, a subway leads to steps down to the narrow island platform in a single tunnel, as seen here looking north on 29th November 2021. This provides a good idea of how Angel station on the northern section of the line looked before its 1992 reconstruction.
Kirkland Yard: 56100 passes the former Kirkland Yard with empty slurry wagons from Methil Power Station in the late 1990s.
Landwasser Viaduct: Of the many fine viaducts on Switzerland's superb Rhaetian Railway, the most celebrated is probably the Landwasser, sprung straight from the cliff face at its south-east end. An RhB class Ge 4/4 1 electric was photographed from the train in 1967 as it crossed the viaduct with a service from Chur to St Moritz.
Eastleigh: GBRf 73965 at one end of a Network Rail track train passing Eastleigh on 25 November 2021. 73961 was out of sight at the other end.
Broomhill Junction: Nearly an hour late, Strathspey Railway's Ivatt Class 2 No.46512 with the first Festive Special passing Lower Lackgie.
