Edinburgh Airport [Tram]: I hadn't seen this very realistic looking Tram Information Lounge at Edinburgh Airport before a visit on 16th November 2021 but it has been in place for several years after serving as a pre-tramway mock-up.
Oxheys: Tree and vegetation clearance of the WCML cutting north of Oxheys by Network Rail has opened up some vantage points around the Sharoe Brook Bridge, although these may not be around for long looking at the new growth. TPE 802204 crosses the brook with a TPE training run from Preston to Carlisle on 15th November 2021. This stretch of line had four tracks up to around the time of electrification.
Stirling Forth Viaduct [SCR]: Wide view looking north east towards the Wallace Monument and the Ochil Hills from the car park of Stirling Castle on 15 April 2008. The train visible bottom right is approaching from the Bridge of Allan direction and is currently midway between the A9 (Causewayhead Road) and the Caledonian Viaduct over the Forth, approximately half a mile short of Stirling station. Immediately beyond the train are the buildings and grounds of Stirling County RFC.
Rothesay Dock: The north quayside of Rothesay Dock in 2004 looking east to the former marshalling yard. Track remained embedded in the cobbles. See image [[79137]] for a happier occasion at this location over thirty years earlier.
Rothesay Dock: SSEB Yoker Power Station Barclay 0-4-0ST at Rothesay Dock, Clydebank in October 1970. The location is the weighbridge by the western of the two footbridges over the marshalling yard. Behind the camera is the northern quayside of the dock. In the background is the girder bridge which carried the Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire over a long removed railway (it served a shipyard) obliterated when Rothesay dock was built. The occasion was the visit of a Railway Society of Scotland tour.
Highley: Highley, Severn Valley Railway, looking south in 1991. The well-tended former colliery branch veers off to the right.
Buchanan Street: The 11.35 to Thornton is ready to leave Glasgow Buchanan St on Saturday 5th November 1966, with B1 61407 in charge. This was I believe the last steam-hauled train to leave the station during daylight hours. The final steam-hauled service was the 18.40 to Dunfermline that evening, hauled by B1 61330, and Buchanan St closed for good the next day. 61330 can be seen at the back of 61407’s train, having worked in on the 10.50 arrival from Leven. The locomotives were the other way round for the evening departure, with 61407 at the back of the train after bringing in the stock with the 18.22 arrival from Kirkcaldy.
Largs Pier: View from North Largs Foreshore, by the Roddsdale Water outfall into the Firth of Clyde, looking across to Largs Pier in June 2006, with the Calmac Ferry serving Great Cumbrae Island berthed at the outer harbour ferry terminal.
Upminster: 357005, with 357001, from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness via Basildon, arriving at Upminster on 8th July 2021. A train of LUL S7 stock can be seen at the District Line terminus on the right.
