Dinting Viaduct: Looking west from Dinting station over Dinting Viaduct as a Manchester bound Class 323 crosses and a Glossop and Hadfield train can be seen on the other side waiting to cross on a miserable afternoon in May 2013.
Shawfair: A northbound service on the Borders Railway about to restart from Shawfair on a dull and drizzly morning on Sunday 14 November 2021. The six car train is the ScotRail 0847 Tweedbank - Edinburgh Waverley, formed by twin DMUs 170428 (leading)+170402.

Clapham Junction: Clapham Junction, after dark already before 5 p.m. on Saturday, 13th November 2021 and 378203 has just arrived from the West London Line with a London Overground service from Stratford. On the right side of this island, the most northerly of the station's seventeen platforms has been obsolete and trackless for decades.
Abergavenny: It was all show for ex GWR 4-6-0 No 6000 'King George V' as it started its runpast at Abergavenny while heading the 'Welsh Marches Pullman' on 10 October 1981. The rest of the northbound climb to Llanvihangel was less spectacular and was completed at little more than walking pace due to the effects of a light drizzle on the rails.
Lathalmond Railway Museum: Brand new steam. Newly arrived at Lathalmond Railway Museum, for use on the West of Fife Railway, is this NBR Engineering Services Ltd (Darlington), works no. 14 of 2021, built to a Bagnall 0-4-0ST design and seen on 24 November 2021.
Arrochar Pier: 'MV Maid of Argyll' at Arrochar. The picture is thought to date from the summer of 1963. It was taken in the course of one of the splendid round trips on offer at that time. These included a train from Glasgow to Craigendoran, sail up Loch Long to Arrochar, walk the relatively short distance to Tarbet on Loch Lomond, take the Maid of the Loch for an afternoon cruise on Loch Lomond (see image [[79071]]) and return home by train from Balloch Pier.
Dingwall Crossing Panel Box: The Scottish Chamber Orchestra charter train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh passing the closed (in 1988) Dingwall Crossing Panel Box on the outward journey. Motive power was 37025 on 15th June 1991.
Didcot Parkway: Not visible here but Colas 66847 is taking a loaded permanent-way new sleepers train eastbound through Didcot on 9th November 2021.

Adelaide [Belfast]: A NIR service to Belfast Central arrives at Adelaide in south Belfast in February 1988. The unit is one of nine members of NIR Class 450, built by BREL between 1985 and 1987 and similar in design to the BR prototype Class 210 DEMU. The fleet was withdrawn from service in 2012 and the unit in the photo, 457 with vehicle 787 leading, was cut up in May 2013.
