Slateford Viaduct: View north along Edinburghs Inglis Green Road on a Sunday morning in October 2017. The Voyager passing over Slateford Viaduct is a CrossCountry Trains Craigentinny - Glasgow Central empty stock working. The 14-arch Caledonian Railway viaduct was opened in 1842 and electrified in 1988. Nearer the camera is Slateford Aqueduct, opened 20 years earlier to carry the Union Canal. Both structures also span the Water of Leith (off picture to the right).
Amotherby: Amotherby Station sat at the east side of Amotherby Lane crossing to the south side of the single line running from the ECML, through Coxwold and Gilling East, to Malton. Nothing remains of the station and crossing, with the trackbed, station and goods yard site now having been incorporated into the expanded operation of the now BATA (Brandsby Agricultural Trading Association) agricultural feed mill that was previously rail fed. View is looking east from near the roadside end of the station platform, with the track having run alongside the hedge seen to the left, in May 2019.
Knightsward: Knightsward was the western terminus of the Lochty Private Railway in 1986. Note the siding beyond the platform. All that remains today is the boundary fence.
Finchley Road and Frognal: 378218, heading away from the camera as it departs from Finchley Road & Frognal station with a London Overground service from Stratford to Clapham Junction, on 1st December 2020.
Cove: The 9.50am Perth to Aberdeen service passes Nigg Bay as it nears its final destination. Perth Black 5 44704 is in charge on 4th April 1966.
Morecambe South Junction: With the arrival of further Class 90s the Freightliner Class 86s are rare daylight sights in the North West of England so 86608, working light engine from Carlisle to Crewe Basford Hall, was a welcome surprise at Morecambe South Junction on 7th December 2020. This veteran emerged from Vulcan Foundry in July 1965 as E3180 so is now in its 56th year of main line service.
Whiteinch West Junction: A train from Clydebank East to Bridgeton Central about to run through Whiteinch West Junction (now Hyndland West) on 23 May 1957. At the head of the train is Parkhead V3 2-6-2T no 67643.
Helmsley: View south at Helmsley, North Yorkshire, in September 2010 from what is now Riccal Drive . The main station building, now a large private residence, is obscured by the trees in the background (see [[19609]]) with this section of the site now forming part of a public woodland area known as the 'Old Railway Line Conservation Project'. Note the information board located on the platform.
Cardross: A pair of Class 334 EMUs depart Cardross, heading to Helensburgh, on 3 June 2013.
