Burton and Holme: DB 66017 drops down from Oxenholme to Carnforth passing the engineering access point at Cinderbarrow with a Mossend to Daventry intermodal on 5th December 2020. The train was running an hour late at this point but still made an early arrival in Daventry.

Redbridge Viaduct: A ScotRail 158 DMU completes the crossing of the River Tweed as it comes off the Red Bridge between Tweedbank and Galashiels on 10 November 2016. The train is an early afternoon service to Edinburgh Waverley.

Ayr: A visit to Ayr on 22nd November 2020 produced the usual diet of 380s and 156s. The 12.27 for Stranraer was loading and actually seemed to have some passengers, but the 12.15 to Central, seen here departing over the River Ayr viaduct, was seemingly almost empty.

Lostock Hall: Colas 70813 passes Lostock Hall with the empty tar wagons from Preston Docks to Lindsey Refinery on a dark December day in 2020. The train was running around two hours late at this point due to a three hour late arrival on the inward service.
