Port Edgar: The former railway pier at Port Edgar looking north across the Forth in March 2015, with construction of the new Queensferry Crossing underway just beyond the western breakwater. The NB opened a station here in 1878, following which a ferry service to North Queensferry was introduced (see image [[15419]]). East Pilton Halt: Having bought their ticket at the East Pilton 'potting shed' at the top of the other platform stairs, passengers for Princes Street would make their way down the wooden steps here. Note the brick supports. Lack of tram competition here may have influenced the opening of the halt in 1934, but it closed with the rest of the branch in 1962.
