Lagan Viaduct: A unit heads north over the Lagan Viaduct. Just beyond is the junction between the Larne/Londonderry route (left) and the Bangor route.
Gort: Interior of Gort signalbox in 1988, with the then closed station in the background.
Bellshaugh Junction: An unusual combination approaching Bellshaugh Junction with a load of mineral wagons from Clydeside on 24th September 1964. Standard Class 4MT 2-6-0 76046 is assisted by 2-6-4T 80004.
Little Bispham [Tram]: A sunset sky over the Fylde Coast in October 2020, as a Flexity tram leaves Little Bispham heading for Fleetwood.
Alford: Looking east at Alford in October 2012 from the vicinity of the turntable pit. Standard gauge replaced by narrow gauge but the station remains as does the loco shed (the former carriage shed), behind the camera [See image 12430].
Culloden Viaduct: With track renewal under way at Newlands of Culloden, the village on the other side of the viaduct, three class 66's await their turn to be called forward to the worksite on 7th November 2020. 66701, in GBRf livery, is furthest from the camera then Freightliner liveried 66539 and 66518.
Corkerhill: This padlocked gate on the south side of a bridge on Glasgows Corkerhill Road once gave access to the westbound platform of Corkerhill station below. The original station was closed in 1983 only to reopen 7 years later as a single platform stop on the reinstated Paisley Canal branch. The old westbound platform survives, as does the line through it, although no longer in passenger use - see image [[40661]].
Dumbarton Central: A train photographed leaving Dumbarton Central on 20 April 1957 with a Saturday service for Rutherglen behind Dawsholm shed's Stanier 3P 2-6-2T no 40186. A few weeks later the locomotive was loaned to St Margarets shed for a period of approximately 9 months (see image [[37195]]).
Lochend Junction: I am standing on the road bridge which replaced the rail bridge carrying the Leith Central branch over the Granton line. The view looks east along what was latterly the Powderhall branch, closed a few years ago. Lochend Junction was beyond the trees. Going from almost nowhere to nowhere at all, this old line would make an ideal cyclepath.
Elgin: 158702, with 158708, arriving at Elgin station with an evening service from Huntly to Inverness, on 14th June 2019.
