777001 at Ellesmere Port at 10.33 on Wednesday, 30th April 2025, looking towards Hooton awaiting departure with a Merseyrail Wirral Line service to Liverpool Central. East of here, since May 2023, Northern provides a service of just two trains each way per day to and from Helsby, with the evening departure from Ellesmere Port going through to Liverpool Lime Street via Warrington Bank Quay.
