Southport
Pioneer Class 507 3rd Rail EMU 507001 is seen departing from Southport at 14.34 with the delayed 14.27 2U36 service to Hunts Cross on 14 July 2023. On 25th October 1978 HM Queen Elizabeth II travelled on this then new unit from Liverpool to Kirkby to formally launch Merseyrail.
