Southport

Driver's eye view from the cab of 40092 at Southport (Chapel St) in 1982. This wasn't as exciting as it might first seem as the Class 40 was a static exhibit at a Rail Festival in the station. A Cravens DMU can be seen in the carriage sidings beyond the now demolished signal box and some of the then new Class 507 EMU stock stabled to the right.
