Southport
LMS 3F 0-6-0T 47298 receiving some attention in the EMU sidings at Southport during a Rail Festival at the former Chapel Street station in 1979. This view from the footbridge spanning the station approaches also shows some fairly new Class 507 EMUs in the sidings. Beyond the disused excursion platform is the operational Coal Concentration Depot complete with its resident diesel shunter. See image 35064 for the same location in 2011.
