Stubbins
A feature of the ELR 2023 Diesel Gala was the provision of brake van trips on a 'parcels' train. This generally shuttled between Bury and Ramsbottom but there was an early run through to Rawtenstall, which left Bury at 0740. 37109 was used on Day 1, seen here returning to Bury passing through Strongstry near Stubbins. Just beyond this rebuilt bridge the road passes under another, in original condition, which carries the trackbed of the Stubbins Junction to Accrington line that closed in 1966.
