Solway Junction
Looking west towards Annan from Watchall Road bridge on 30 May 2007. Work is underway in connection with the redoubling of the G&SW route to Gretna. Shawhill Farm stands on the left, with Annan Station half a mile beyond the bend. The 8 mile double track connection between Annan and Gretna was brought into use for all traffic during August 2008.
