Grimsargh
A public footpath briefly follows the old Longridge branch trackbed out of Grimsargh towards Longridge. This is the point where, until 1957, the Whittingham Hospital Railway diverged following the line of the modern fence on the left of the picture. The single track main line continued over an embankment to climb north eastwards to Longridge, about two miles away. See image 26565 taken at this location over one hundred years earlier.
