Glasson Dock

Sixty or so years after wagons were last shunted down to the Glasson Dock basins, over a level crossing and this low embankment, there has been a lot of tree growth. This view, in November 2018, looks back towards the site of the little passenger station which closed in 1930. See image 66272 for a map of Glasson when the railway was operational. This embankment lies just west of the Vicarage and 'Station House'.
