Carleton Crossing
The little gate box at Carleton Crossing is one of five on the Preston to Blackpool line that were originally scheduled to close in November 2016. However, there is a temporary reprieve until November 2017 for this structure and also Blackpool North No.2, Poulton No.3, Kirkham and Salwick boxes. This view taken on 7th December 2016 in a brief quiet spell on what is a very busy road.
