Carnforth

The West Coast Depot at Carnforth is not easy to see, except from passing trains on the Barrow line, hence this grab shot of the depot yard on 28 April. EE Type 3 37706 is idling on one of the depot roads, alongside two Brush Type 4s, one of which appears to be undergoing an engine or generator transplant. In addition to two Class 08 yard shunters, WCRC maintains an operational fleet of around twenty main line diesels of Classes 33, 37, 47 and 57.
