Carnforth

After visiting Ravenglass on 9 May 1970, Scottish Grand Tour No. 10 retraced its steps to Carnforth, where enthusiasts were able to visit Steamtown. Photograph taken from the footbridge giving access off Warton Road, showing preserved Black 5 No. 44871 in steam in the shed yard. [Railscot note: By coincidence the young man in the brown coat to the left of the small group alongside the cab is Railscot contributor Jim Peebles!]
