Scene at the north end of Hawick station in August 1964 as Gateshead A3 no 60091 Captain Cuttle prepares to restart the 6.30am Carlisle - Craiginches freight. The Pacific had only 6 weeks operational life remaining at this stage, being withdrawn from 52A on 12 October. In the background, Hawick's standard class 2 2-6-0 no 78047 can be seen in the shed yard.
