St Helens Central
At the south end of St. Helen's platforms is the junction with what was formerly the line to Sutton Oak, St Helens Junction and Widnes. Latterly this was cut back to a chemical plant within the town and has since been closed completely, although the track and signals remain in situ. Photographed in December 2012, with the now obligatory palisade fence erected across the disused tracks.
