Cherry Tree
Stanier 8F 2-8-0 no 48151 storms west through Cherry Tree station heading towards Preston on the 'Diamond Jubilee Fellsman' railtour from Carlisle on 6 June 2012. After a problem at Carlisle and leaving around 35 minutes late with the recently repainted 47580 sporting a large Union Jack on each bodyside, it was almost right time when it passed Cherry Tree with the 8F appearing to be doing all the work. The undergrowth to the right is the trackbed of the line from Cherry Tree to Chorley via Abbey Village.
