Irwell Vale
Signal box diagram from Irwell Vale, rescued after the 18 lever box closed when the Rawtenstall branch was singled on 19th April 1970. The diagram shows that three lines ran over the small level crossing but doesn't show the three short sidings in the goods yard that had closed earlier. The level crossing became user worked after 1970, a situation that continues now under ELR ownership.
