Lancaster Green Ayre

A short single track line from Lancaster Castle dropped down to Lancaster Green Ayre, alongside the River Lune. Originally electrified it closed to passengers in 1966 but remained open to serve Lancaster Power Station until around 1980. The entire length has since been incorporated into Lancaster's network of cycle paths. Early morning view down the hill to Green Ayre from the mid point of the line.
