Lancaster Green Ayre
The former single line link from Lancaster Castle to Green Ayre station was electrified until closure in 1966, as was the line to Morecambe that passed over the curving bridge in the background - now a road. Green Ayre steam shed was behind the trees alongside this link line, now a supermarket. The two old railway lines are both cycleways now, linked by the new bridge.
