View east along the trackbed of The Port Road towards Dumfries from below the road bridge at the west end of the former New Galloway station. The line ran straight ahead through the shrubbery with the much modified station building (now a private residence) standing on the right. The remains of the platforms can still be seen looking back from the other end of the site beyond what is now a private garden. Photographed on 12 May 2010.
