Newcastle Central
Last of the D20s. Nearing the end of its life, Worsdell D20 4-4-0 (ex-NER 'R' class) locomotive no 62395, at Newcastle Central on 24 August 1957. All 60 of the class were built at the NER's Gateshead Works and this example (built in 1907) was withdrawn from 52D Tweedmouth shed 3 months later and cut up at Darlington Works in February 1958.
