Hoghton
Pacer in the Lancashire countryside. Northern 142056, on a Colne service, has just topped Hoghton bank and is dropping down towards the River Darwen and Pleasington station. The hill rising very steeply on the right supports the fortified manor house known as Hoghton Tower.
