Ribble Steam Railway Workshops

Preserved Hunslet Class 05 shunter D2595 sporting a shiny coat of BR Blue paint inside the Ribble Steam Railway shed on Preston Docks. The narrow cab door is very noticeable and was probably a challenge to some BR drivers. Although many 05s worked in Scotland this was an Eastern Region loco and behind it is one of the RSR diesel shunters used to haul the bitumen tanks from the exchange sidings to the discharge terminal See image 23760.
