Grimsargh
An early postcard showing Grimsargh station, looking towards Preston, on what was possibly the busiest day of its life. The platform is packed with ladies in their finery, presumably waiting for an excursion or special train. The P&L station closed in 1930 but goods trains continued to Longridge until 1967. Although the station site has now been built over it is still possible to walk the old trackbed for a short distance in both directions from here.
