A loaded coal train about to leave Westoe Colliery, South Shields, for the River Tyne and Harton Low Staithe in the Summer of 1983 behind NCB No 11 (EE/Baguley 1795/3351 of 1951). The last operational pit on Tyneside, Westoe Colliery closed in 1993.
