South Kensington Extension, Minories Extension (Metropolitan Railway)

Introduction

Two extensions were built to the Metropolitan Railway - one from Paddington (Met) to South Kensington [Met] (1868 - end on with the Metropolitan District Railway) and the other the Minories Extension from Farringdon to Liverpool Street [Met] (1875 following use in 1874 of the main line station which had opened that year replacing Bishopsgate).
