Eglinton Iron Company Railway

Introduction

This railway served the Eglinton Iron works. The works was located on the east side of the Glasgow and South Western Railway on the Ayr line south of Kilwinning. A line radiated out to nearby mines to the south and east. The works was an offshoot of the William Baird company.
