An attractive meadow now occupies the north east corner of the Tweedbank station site, containing various grasses, wild flowers etc. (colloq. 'weeds') Part of the area is seen here looking north from the car park fence on 16 June 2017, just as the 1121 service to Edinburgh pulls away from platform 1.

In Waverley Line days Tweedbank would have meant little: a house (or farm) near the line, no more. It means a lot to the Borders Railway, however, being its rather expansive terminus. Tweedbank itself has come on in the world being a proper place now, with a business park, a sports complex and a few more houses than one. Should the line ever be extended it will mean a level crossing here, but that's such a big if that it's best mo to worry about it!
