Description

This is a two platform station a mile and a half south west of Widdrington. It is located in the new village of Widdrington Station. There is a level crossing at the north end. The original station building remains on the southbound platform.

There were sidings on either side of the station, those on the west side were a loop, crossing the level crossing at the north end, serving a two road goods shed. On the east side were sidings serving staithes, approached from the south.

To the south was Ferneybeds Colliery, served by a siding on the east side and approached from the south.
