Hermitage Viaduct (1862-1969)

Opened on the Border Union Railway (North British Railway).

Description

This double track viaduct crossed the Hermitage Water directly upstream of where it joins the Liddel Water, it also crossed the road on the east side of the river.

The viaduct has been demolished.

There may have been a Hermitage Foot halt here in the early days of the line.
