This aluminium works was at Foyers on the east side of Loch Ness. It was linked by a 3ft line to Foyers Pier.

Opens bauxite plant at Larne Harbour [1st], north of the station, connected to the Ballymena and Larne Railway. Alumina was brought from the Lyle Hill Mines to the works and additional supplies came from overseas. Vessels operated on a triangular route bringing bauxite from Larne to Foyers Aluminium Works, then returning to Larne via Ayrshire where coal would be picked up for the Larne Works.
