Foyers Aluminium Works
A 2010 view looking down over the west end of the former Foyers Aluminium works with Loch Ness beyond. The penstocks were uncovered at the time and were looking somewhat past their best. This was the first large aluminium works in Britain, opening in 1896. The works was connected by a tramway (which looped around it) and ran east to the nearby pier on the loch.
