Description

This shed was built within the fortifications at Fort William. The loading bank was to the south and south of that the line ran, via a number of loops, to the station.

British Railways assigned the code 63D and sub shed Mallaig Shed. It was re-coded as 65J, then 63B and finally 65H.

The shed closed in preparation for the opening of a new dual carriageway road along the lochside in Fort William which also necessitated the replacement of the station and goods yard. The shed was replaced by a new depot at Tom-na-Faire Depot.
