Clocksbriggs Oil Depot

Description

This oil depot was west of Clocksbriggs station on the north side of the line. It was developed in the Second World War for RAF use. A set of sidings on the north side of the line served the depot. These were approached by reversal over the level crossing to the east.

The yard consisted of a rounding loop and a pair of sidings on the north side.

The tanks still exist. The railway closed in 1967.
