Castle Semple Bridge (1905-1972)

Opened on the Kilbarchan Loop (Glasgow and South Western Railway).

Description

This rather ornate bridge over a private road was built close to Castle Semple in a Tudor style.

The castle was just to the south. Its ruins and Castle Semple Collegiate Church (to the west, north of the line) are separated by the trackbed of the former line.
