Broomfield Aerodrome (1913-1920)
This aerodrome was to the north east of Broomfield Junction.
It was served by a siding from 1919, removed in 1937.
It re-opened in 1936 and closed again in 1952. A training aircraft, an Airspeed Oxford, crashed into the signal box at the junction in 1939.
Sheds from this remain alongside the former trackbed of the Montrose and Bervie Railway.
