Description

This double track girder bridge crosses the Gala Water just north of Bowshank Tunnel.

The metalwork was produced by the Dalmuir Iron Works of Somervail & Co.

The bridge survived the closure of 1969 and was not scrapped, possibly to give access to the tunnel where farm machinery was stored.

It was re-conditioned for the re-opening of 2015 and now carries two tracks.
