Description

This is a disused single track 16 arch viaduct which carried the Blackston Junction to Bathgate Lower line just west of Westfield station, the Torbanehill and Bathgate Branch (Monkland Railways). This was built to tap the minerals along the length of the route and connect to existing railways at Polkemmet Junction, Bathgate.
