Newseat Halt: On the trackbed of the old Peterhead branch, now the Formartine and Buchan Way, at Newseat looking towards Mintlaw and Maud Junction on 15th April 2025. Passenger services ceased in 1965 and the last freight ran from Peterhead in 1973.

Newseat Halt: Opened as New Seat in 1863, this station became Newseat in 1884. In 1930 the LNER downgraded its status and it became Newseat Halt until closure in 1965. It is now a fine residential property with the Formartine and Buchan Way passing through. This view looks towards Inverugie and Peterhead from the overbridge. See image [[60190]] from 1977 when this house was in a sorry state, happily now rectified.

South Wimbledon: Exterior of South Wimbledon, LU Northern Line, on 5th April 2025. This station was designed by the London Underground's renowned architect Dr. Charles Holden (1875-1960) and opened on 13th September 1926 with the extension of the City & South London Railway from its 1900 terminus at Clapham Common to Morden. This then became known as the Morden-Edgware Line until 1937 when, during a general renaming of lines by the LPTB, it became the Northern Line, even though this section is in SOUTH London! The station name is a misnomer since it is not in Wimbledon at all but in Merton.
