Carlisle: A pristine looking Direct Rail services 57309 'Pride of Crewe', on standby in the station loops, on 15th May 2025.
Livingston South: 66780 'The Cemex Express' hauls a container train from Mossend to Doncaster Iport GBRF through Livingston South on 10th April 2025.
Blackfriars: 700108, Thameslink service, calls at London Blackfrars with a Horsham service via Redhill in May 2025.
Inverugie: Looking towards Peterhead at Inverugie on 15th April 2025. The station closed in October 1965 but the platform survives and the station has been converted into a residential property.
Inverugie: This bridge, on the Peterhead side of Inverugie station, still carries the Formartine and Buchan Way (Peterhead branch). A lot of bridges have been lost on both the Fraserburgh and Peterhead routes but some substantial ones remain.
South Wimbledon: Southbound platform for trains going just one more stop to Morden, at the mis-named South Wimbledon station (it is actually in Merton), at 14.45 on Saturday, 5th April 2025. Before going home, I nipped down to Morden for another cup of coffee in a well-known bakery chain cafe and could have spent a long time photoing the numerous buses that congregate on Morden station forecourt but I decided to give that a miss on this occasion and went home instead.
Strathyre: View looking north out of Strathyre. The former trackbed can be seen to be a foot/cyclepath leading away from the bottom centre, with a short diversion alongside the road. The River Balvaig is on the left and Kingshouse is in the distance.
Prestonpans: July 2005 with 90029 arriving at Prestonpans with a North Berwick - Edinburgh working.
