Knockshinnoch Washery: On a sunny September day in 2003, 66531 has arrived at the level crossing on the B741 New Cumnock - Dalmellington road and now awaits the arrival of the mobile shunter who will open the gates to allow the train of empties access to the loader at Knockshinnoch. This location closed at some point in the second half of 2004 and for a shot taken from a similar position in 2012, but minus a train and the gate, see image 39680

Alford: The old carriage shed at Alford, just beyond the station platform, now serves as an engine shed for the Community Railway. The actual engine shed at Alford was at the other end of the station but the site and associated railway land has disappeared under housing.
