Winchburgh Junction: In a shot thought to date from April 1971, an Edinburgh - Inverness working, which had been diverted with a run round at Dalmeny, rejoins its booked route at Winchburgh Junction. Unusually the train was worked by a 'Peak' but whether that worked through to Inverness I cannot remember having got off at Perth.

Thornton Junction TMD: Accident damaged Class 108 DMBS SC50611 at Thornton Junction on 7 September 1966. It is thought to have been in a collision that happened at Thornton on 31 August 1966. It was allocated to Leith Central at this time and withdrawn from there and scrapped at Cowlairs Works as a result of this damage. B1 4-6-0 61148 is behind the railcar.

Grampian Transport Museum: The Grampian Transport Museum at Alford now has an exhibition of 'Top Gear' vehicles, which has no doubt increased the number of visitors to this excellent attraction. One of these exhibits might be classed as 'rail related', being a Jaguar XJS and a cut down caravan, modified to run on standard gauge rails for a programme. This 'train' is displayed next to the Cruden Bay tramcar No.2.

Grampian Transport Museum: Aberdeen Gas Works No.3, AB 1889/1926, has been displayed outside the Grampian Transport Museum for many years now (See image [[12565]] from 2006). The paintwork is fading a little but the 'car port' has kept it in good condition overall, although it would perhaps look better rolled back a quarter turn so it was displayed 'rods down'.

Barmouth Viaduct: 7819 'Hinton Manor' on the Barmouth Bridge in Agust 1987. I never liked tender first running but this was a location I hardly ever came too so hence the picture.

Breich: In April 1980 a 3-car DMU departs from Breich with a Glasgow Central - Edinburgh service. The Breich Inns, now demolished, is on the left and in the haze on the right part of Fauldhouse can just be made out.
