Penrith: GB Railfreight class 66 no. 66733 named 'Cambridge PSB' was a long way from Cambridge on Thursday 17th April 2025 as it stood in platform 3 at Penrith working 4S57 1058 Hams Hall to Mossend Euroterminal. Platform 3 at Penrith is now fully accessible to the general public again after being closed off for a long time, but it is rarely used by passenger trains and is instead used as a down loop for freight.

Glenfarg: The North British Railway's main line from Edinburgh to Perth ran north east through Glen Farg. It can be seen in the shadows in this view, with the River Farg and B996 to its left. The three ran together in the narrow confines of the glen from Glenfarg station north to Meikle Fildie where the railway crossed over both road and river to enter Glenfarg south Tunnel.
