Lassodie Mill Colliery: The site of Lassodie Pit head seen in a view looking south east. From here a short length of hutchway ran to the pit head siding loops, the buffer of which was at the tree. Little remains of the colliery other than the bing and this structure. The farm track which passes through the site does not follow the course of the sidings.

Falkirk High: When photographed in August 1979 Falkirk High didn't look like somewhere to wait long for a train, especially on a wet day.

Salisbury: If only I had posted this photograph a day earlier (April 1), I could claim that Salisbury station ticket office is the only station I know with stained glass windows. As it is now April 2, I must confess that the 'windows' are posters, part of an advertisement inviting tourists to visit Salisbury Cathedral. Nice, all the same.

Armadale: Standing at the end of the station car park at Armadale in the spring of 2015 looking east towards the neighbouring town of Bathgate. The train approaching on its two and a half mile journey between them is a mid morning service from Edinburgh to Helensburgh Central.

Manuel: Number 1 has just arrived at Manuel on 14 February 2024, but its good head of steam belies the fact that 37403 'Isle of Mull' was providing useful rear end assistance!

Manchester Piccadilly: Recently transferred to Allerton from Neville Hill, CAF 4-car 331105 approaches Platform 14 at Manchester Piccadilly with a service from Blackpool North to the airport on 6th March 2024. A TfW Llandudno bound service also heads towards Oxford Road on this very busy stretch of track.
