Carlisle [London Road]: The goods shed Carlisle London Road appears to have had a cosmetic restoration. The money has probably come from McDonalds, who have opened a drive through restaurant next door; but lets not be fussy.
Slateford Aqueduct: Slateford Aqueduct : Richard Baird, Commander of the Clan Baird, and John Cameron. Remarks by John Cameron were as follows : 'It's splendid that both these unveilings celebrate Hugh Baird's Union Canal as a whole, and I’m delighted to be joining my fellow farmer, Clan Baird Commander Richard Holman Baird in doing the honours. This is actually the Union's third Red Wheel, others being at the Leamington Lift Bridge and the Linlithgow Canal Basin. It's the first at one of its Aqueducts, chosen as the most visited of the three graceful iron-trough designs to be seen also at Lin's Mill and Muiravonside. As a railwayman I'm conscious of how railways ended the first Canal Age - however in their splendid repurposing, by the Millennium Link as a mode of sustainable travel, maybe it's the canals that have had the last laugh.'
Forfar [1st]: This buttressed retaining wall supported the site of the first Forfar station which was above the wall. The wall is on the north side and the view looks to the east. Nothing remains of the station itself except this wall and another, more massive, one to the immediate west.

In the far distance it turned right to reach Justinhaugh.
Glasgow St Enoch: An unusual visitor to Glasgow St Enoch on 27th August 1965 was Bank Hall's Standard Class 4 4-6-0 75026, fresh from overhaul in Cowlairs works and retaining the green livery that had been applied during an earlier overhaul at Swindon in 1962. It was heading into the platform to take charge (tender first) of the 5.20pm to Busby.
